This unit covered the different types of equipment and teaching aides teachers can utilize to enhance their lessons. Rather than speaking to the class the entire time, it is better to use teaching aides because it grabs the students' attention, helps them focus their attention on what to study, and makes the class more interesting in general. Teaching aides can reduce teacher talking time and can help students learn language more effectively by bringing in context to help them memorize the lessons. The unit also provided tips on how to use the different equipment effectively.I've understand the importance of proper pronunciation as I can use it everyday. The lntonation if it rise/fall,flat,rise fall has meaning and to use it effectively in every conversation and especially in teaching.Proper intonation has different expression of meanings.
The phonology is really an interesting topic here in Unit 13. Different English countries has different pronunciation in words and thru these lesson it deepens my understanding in phonemes and its application.Learning proper and different pronunciation is for me another way of improving my communication skills.
