This unit was extremely helpful in giving good tips on how to teach specific groups of people. While my English teaching experience will not be including teaching English for specific purposes, the teaching children and teaching beginners sections were very relevant. I have not had previous teaching experience, and the tips and tricks included in each section give me more confidence about my ability to be a good teacher in the Georgian classroom.This unit made me think about how learning is divided into methods of intaking language (reading and listening) and outputting language (writing and speaking). I think the most critical difference between these two types of interacting with language is that intake of language only requires identification, whereas output of language requires understanding and processing. Therefore, one must be able to read and listen before they can write and speak.
