This unit is all about present tenses (present simple, present perfect, present continuous, etc).
Broadly speaking, I found this unit easy to study because teaching verb tenses is a fundamental part of my syllabus when I teach English at the secondary level. However, I have to admit that studying this unit helped me in two important ways.
First, I reviewed the present perfect continuous which is a tense that sometimes I tend to omit from my classes. Second, I think that the most useful aspect of the unit has to do with the explanations about the typical student error/mistakes and the teaching ideas. In my class, I overemphasize the form and the usages of the tenses and being aware of the typical student mistakes from a different point of view other than my own experience is quite useful. In addition the teaching ideas may be interesting to include in my teaching toolkit.
