I appreciated the reinforcement of the ESA lesson structures and the possible options and how they can be applied to each form of teaching language. Vocabulary is important and often overlooked , but needs to be at the forefront of teaching a new language. I have learnt how to teach vocabulary more appropriately without wasting time on mundane facts , as we usually do. I learnt that appropriateness to students and tasks is important when teaching vocabulary. The engage stage activities such as mime & pictures proved important and is also often overlooked to us as native speakers, I will definitely use this in future. Grammar is a difficult concept especially in English because although certain rules are made some are broken and don't apply , teaching grammar is very crucial and I have learnt in this chapter , patience needs to be practiced when teaching grammar.
