This unit is an overview to what we will find and learn in this course. It introduces its content in each unit, acronyms used, its goal and objectives, and explains what a young learner is in terms of English language teaching. Some of the topics this course will teach are Teaching and Learning, materials and management, and Professional Development. Here I learned that the age related to teaching young learners is between the ages of five, which is when children start school, and thirteen. The goal of this course is to examine different methods and ideas used in different ELL classroom atmospheres. At the end of this course, we will be able to create a teaching syllabus, assess students before, on, and after the course, learn the role of a young learner English language teacher in different scenarios, and know how to create and find materials for the lessons.
