This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
There are a lot of complicated grammar points in this unit, especially the phrasal verbs. I thought the suggestion to turn it into a vocabulary item, and keep practicing it under one subject, like driving, was a big relief to have suggested. Reading over the lesson and identifying the sentences in the test were very difficult, and so having the students simply repeat them and try to use them when confident seems more fair that trying to get them to identify them in a test. There's a lot of variety that could be confusing. The modal verbs, as well as active or passive voice, seemed a little more straight forward, with clearer rules for students to learn and be confident in. I found the charts to be very helpful as a reminder for conjugation and specific uses. Students would be able to refer to them and get a firmer grasp when practicing with them.
