This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:

This unit was by far the most difficult unit to understand. It's a lot to grasp especially when you are a Native speaker. You don't normally pay too much attention to how you pronounce certain words. You really only notice when you ask questions or emphasize on certain words. Definitely educational because I notice what sounds are stressed and the tones it delivers can send a message differently. This unit really helps a lot in breaking down sounds for students as well for the teacher.Unit 19 covered teaching special groups. I learned how to each various types of groups including individual students, business English learners, and young learners. There is a lot to take into consideration when teaching several types of groups. There was also information on how to teach monolingual and multilingual classes and their benefits. I found this unit to be very helpful because it gives me an idea on how to motivate both business and young learners to make the classes interesting.
