This unit talked about pronunciation and phonology. It was very complicated, pronunciation not that much because I am a native English speaker, so I know how to pronounce the words in American English, but the last part regarding phonetic scripts is very confusing, I could not understand some of the words nor could I understand how to pronounce them. I'm not really sure how I can teach this part to students it was very complicated for me. Definitely need to read this unit over and over.A teacher can teach all the units and topics required for lessons, and even an entire course book with the goal of improving students' English level from beginners to intermediate, but unless they evaluate the students, they will never know the level of progress and if the students are really learning. Regular evaluations is useful in not only checking the progress and level of retention and understanding, but it's also a way for teacher to see the strong and weak areas of the students.
