This unit covered the grammar points of conditionals and reported speech. It explained the five types of conditional statements and how to explain them. It also shared some very interesting activities to practice the conditionals. For example, chain conditionals and the nuclear bunker. The second part of the unit discussed direct and reported speech. It presented the way the grammar changed for reported speech according to what was said and how it was said in the direct speech. I found it very challenging especially remembering from direct speech to reported speech which grammar tense is used. The mediating activity seems like an activity that would be effective and interesting in teaching this grammar point. This unit really helped me see some areas of grammar that I myself find difficult and how to understand better for my students.
