In this unit, different lessons planning were given for the teaching of grammar, vocabulary, structures, and functions. When teaching vocabulary, it is important to be mindful of the selection process. It is important to teach words that are appropriate to the students and to the task, making sure the frequency and coverage of the words are wide, and that their teachability is relevant to the students. It is important to give definitions, usage, grammatical structure, interaction with other words, spelling, and pronunciation of vocabularies.
Similarly, when teaching grammatical structures, it is important to talk about meaning, use, forms and patterns, and their spoken and written forms. Lastly, teaching language functions need to stress the need for activation of language in regards to inviting, refusing, agreeing, and disagreeing.
