This unit focuses on the productive skills of writing and speaking. It discusses the ideal type of activities for different phases of the lesson. As it relates to speaking, both accuracy and fluency are important, however different approaches must be taken to develop each skill. After reading this unit, it became apparent to me that designing activities that require both productive skills are ideal vs the idea of giving writing activities for homework.This unit we cover book and materials which are necessary tools for the teacher and students to have. However, its understanding a knowing when to use the course book and being able to get creative for the students, so they don?t find the lesson predictable. I think that by creating unique material, such as cross words or word searches etc.? for your students will also show that you as a teacher are enthusiastic and that you care for your students.
