This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
There is so much in this unit, I don't know where to start. In my experience teaching students of all ages, I have put into practice some of what's been explained in this unit, i've done it intuitively. New topics to me are the grouping students which I find very interesting because it explains the pros and cons of four different types. Another new topic is the teacher's position, when to stand and sit, and explaining reasons why. It makes sense. Another point interesting was being consistent when giving instructions, as well as several ways to establish rapport. I've worked with groups in Venezuela and more recently China, and I have to say, every lesson is different, I am different as well as the expectations from those attending my lessons. But one thing remains the same, my desire to help them to learn and to use it.
