In this unit, I try to understand pronunciation. I realized as a foreign speaker, I made a lot of mistakes. My first language is French and I will work better on my phonetic. I think that because English is my second language, I will understand better the mistakes made by students and I'll teach lesson slots to better emphasize the pronunciation in each class. As a French teacher second language I already learned phonology. But it is different now I want to teach English as a second language. I'll work better on my phoneme's production.As a native English speaker and a graduate of an English writing program, I was already familiar with this chapter's material before starting. It was, however, helpful to review the terms and refresh my knowledge of the subject. There was one portion in particular I believe I will refer to in the future, especially for the sake of my students. I work with Japanese students and, as with most Asian English learners, they struggle with articles. I plan to use the list of the appropriate times to use particular articles to help my students.
