I learned that the past tenses in the English language are Past Simple, Past Continuous, Past Perfect, and Past Perfect Continuous. Past simple is the most common and refers to actions that were done in the past and are finished. Past Continuous is used to talk about an action that was going on during a specific point in the past. Past Perfect is used to describe an action in the past viewed from another point in the past, and Past Perfect Continuous is similar except the action had been going on for a longer time in the past up until a certain moment in the past that we are talking about. This unit covered the uses of many different types of teaching aids and equipment that are commonly used in the classroom. It explained the pros and cons of each and what should be done by the teacher to correctly prepare the equipment for the lesson and the context for which they would be effective. This unit had a lot of useful information and links to online resources that I may end up referring to when I need to plan lessons. It also helped having a lot of first-hand experience with a lot of these pieces of equipment when I was in school and being able to remember how each was used.
