This unit covered the various types of tests that students could end up having to take during an English course. The parts about in-class exams is pretty self-explanatory, but the section on the various external exams is very enlightening. To have a primer on all of the different types of external exams, especially the highly regarded Cambridge exams, is incredibly important. Knowing a bit about these tests gives teachers the opportunity to research them and start working on lesson plans that will ensure students are ready to take one of these exams if they need or choose to. Thus, this unit, while not very extensive on info, is quite important in the long term.
