In the first video the teacher did not introduce himself or learn the students names. He spoke to quickly, did not provide any explanations and undermined their confidence by repetitively stating how easy the subject matter was. He didn't even smile throughout the whole lesson. Despite all of the above the students tried to participate as best they could after he finally gave some examples. In the second video the teacher introduced himself, learned all of their names and used them regularly to include the students in the lesson. He slowed his speech and provided examples of the subject using both pictures and miming. The students were able to participate much more often and effectively. They seemed to be enjoying the lesson.
