There are various methods of learning English that have been tried and tested throughout time. Some focus on grammar while others focus on behavioral and communicative factors. The ESA is the most ideal and effective system as it strikes a balance between language construction and fun and engaging activities that encourage communication among students. There are different approaches the ESA method takes. Lessons can follow a straight-forward, controlled pattern or it can deviate and be more accommodating to students' needs. The Patchwork approach is more successful as it allows greater flexibility and balance, opening the doors for more activities, stimulation, practice and understanding of the lesson.
