Unit 8 covered the future tenses and the present tense that are used in expressions of future events and activities. As with previous units on verb tenses, this unit outlined the form of each tense, provided lists of usages for each of the tenses regarding when and how they are commonly used, described typical mistakes a non-native speaker might make, and offered ideas for the Activate stage. As with previous units, I feel I learned to see the potential difficulties of learning this material from the perspective of a non-native speaker and the importance of presenting and reinforcing the distinctive forms and usages of each.
