This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
The part I was looking for in the course. I have been taught the Berlitz way of teaching and that's what I've been using for the past 4 months. The method was the PPP with the addition of eliciting in the presentation part. I've always felt like there's a better method in teaching the language and thus I tried to develop my own. This unit had been immensely useful, the ESA method seems very promising to me and I can't wait to try it out. Although my main weak point is preparing a lesson, I mostly improvise, so I hope in later units I'd get some tips on lesson planning that would make it easier for me. Also having known all the previous teaching methodologies was very useful, and a good way of comparing between all of them, and how that shows the superiority of the ESA method to all others.
