From this unit, I learned about the different tools a teacher can use to keep class interesting and to make sure that students fully understand the material presented. It is important to keep in mind the various technological tools at a teacher's disposal. For example, the use of video can engage a class in a way that a radio clip might not; an overhead projector can make it so that the teacher's back is not to the class for very long; an interactive whiteboard can help to encourage class participation. I also learned in this unit that it is integral to always have a backup plan, because technology malfunctions, and to not have a backup plan wastes valuable class time.
