This unit provides a lot to think about in terms of what to use as a course book or even if one is necessary. It was good to see some real recommendations of a couple of industry standard course books and some example supplemental materials. Those recommendations really help give an inexperienced teacher something to look to in order to get started with a standardized syllabus. That is a valuable tool for someone just getting into teaching language. It is a subject that can be hard to map out a syllabus appropriate for your students if you have not done so before, and so having these recommendations is a big help.
