In Unit 9 we looked at lesson planning, the reasons why teachers need to plan, what is included in that process and how to produce this effectively within the classroom.
I have learnt more about the straight arrow approach, and how useful it can be. Also the importance of having your notes prepared and within prompting distance where required. But also that it is important to remain flexible with the material should the class need a different direction.
It is always important to be ready to alter methods and approach when required. There is also the opportunity to have the class guide the ways in which they learn but this is not advisable to inexperienced teachers, this is good to know in advance!
