Actually watching example lessons helped to understand what I have spent the past few weeks learning. Being able to watch a bad example of teaching helped me to better understand what I should avoid when I enter a classroom. I was especially impressed by the differences in 'flow' between the various stages in the two lessons. I had never really thought about how important it would be until I saw the teacher effortlessly take the lesson between the Engage and Study phases. It seemed to help the students have a better understanding of the grammar concept by allowing them to connect the animals with the modal auxiliary verb through good examples of actions.
