Unit 7 we learned the aspects of teaching vocabulary to students in order for them to get by with the language. How easy the vocabulary word may be depending on multiple factors. The similarity of that language to the students. Similarity to English words already known, spelling/ pronunciation and appopriacy. Selecting the vocabulary requires the words frequently used, and how often it will be used or covered. The ability to teach the word, such as their and there. Or too and to. As well as demonstrating the different ways of teaching the word through engaging with pictures, discussion and discovery.
