This was an interesting unit. It covered conditionals and reported speech, which are aspects of grammar native speakers use naturally but don't really understand. Knowing exactly how they should work academically, instead of just instinctively, is very valuable, as it will help me teach the concepts to students.
I found the reported speech section particularly interesting, as many native speakers don't always follow the rules specified in this unit. Even I might casually throw out sentences like, \"He said he's on the way.\" It's important for me to realize that what sounds natural is not always correct where reported speech is concerned.
