This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
I learned how we can effectively teach pronunciation to students by learning ourselves how sound is formed using our mouth and the different types of classification that this involves. i always self-taught myself how to pronounce word, either by watching TV or by being made fun of for mispronouncing something. With this new material I have actually learned how the Phonetic script looks and will definitely learn it by heart so i can explain and make my lesson more productive. It was an eye opener where my tongue and where does sound come from whenever i said a word, It would just automatically go to the positions the lessons said. I will surely include this into my future lessons whenever we talked about pronunciation. I feel like, pronunciation is very important and should be given at all time during a lesson, even more when giving new vocabulary words.
