In this unit - Course books and lesson materials we can find detailed information about types, features and usage of course books and lesson materails. All type of materails divided into two groups: authentic (newspapers, tv-guides, books, magazines, movies, songs, novels and so on) and created, which are made by teachers itself. It can be puzzles, crosswords, flash-cards and so on. Except that we can find advantages and disadvatages uasage of course books.Another detailed unit, this time on a very narrow and specific topic, course books. This was helpful because I think I might have otherwise been a little more accepting and passive about course books having seen my teachers use them. I wouldn't have been as critical of them, assessing them for certain criteria, as I would now do. The unit also emphasized again, the need for balance and variety and having a good mix of materials and options in the classroom.
