This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
I found this unit very interesting, although I believe it might have been more effective if it had been in two units instead of one. Articulation and the International Phonemic Alphabet would have been better together, and the sections on Stress and Intonation could have been a separate unit altogether. I feel as though I learned the basics of stress and intonation but I think if it was in a separate unit there could be more focus on it. I really enjoyed learning about the International Phonemic Alphabet and think it will be very useful in teaching students proper pronunciation. It was also very interesting to learn about the different places of articulation and how your mouth moves to create different sounds.
