Managing the classroom is very important from the start because it leaves a lasting impression between the teacher and the students. In this unit, I have learned to understand when it is appropriate for me to place my dominance as a teacher towards my students. Building a balance between teacher and student talk time is essential to the classroom dynamic. The one problem I was concern with was the possible disturbances that may arise from possible troublesome students. I am glad this chapter also focuses on the actions that need to be handled in certain situations. In conclusion, learning when to speak and when to assert my authority is greatly expressed in this chapter.
