This was a difficult lesson which covered some of the intricacies of grammar. Part of the focus in this unit was on modal auxiliary verbs, such as can and could, and also how modals are used before other verbs to \"...add meaning to the main verb,\" as stated in the reading. Another main topic was a breakdown of the differences between the two voices used in English: Passive voice and Active voice. This unit also covered Relative Clauses, the three categories of relative clauses (independent, dependent and relative), in addition to the two types relative clauses: defining and non-defining. The unit ended with a discussion on Phrasal verbs - verbs formed from a verb and one or two particles
