This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
Much like the previous chapter, unit twelve covers essential language skills. This time, however, the content is focused on productive skills: speaking and writing. Both skills are broken down individually. Speaking abilities are developed based on accuracy (verbal correctness) and fluency (creativity and flow). Writing skills are enhanced by teaching proper spelling, layout and punctuation, and good penmanship. Learning the building blocks of both skill sets were hugely helpful for me, as I now have a solid understanding of how to evaluate the capabilities and weaknesses of students' productive skills. I look forward to using the games listed at the end of the chapter to teach enhance the speaking and writing abilities of my future students.
