This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:

This brief unit simply explored the use of course materials, focusing mostly on textbooks. As textbooks are the most common source used by teachers, you must know how to properly utilize them in a classroom setting. Overuse of textbooks leads to predictability within the lesson, so other authentic and created materials should be used as well. These include newspapers, songs, and films or crosswords, word searches, and flashcards. These materials tend to be more interesting to the students as well as more relevant. Textbooks are a great source for beginner teachers because they are pre-made for you and tested on other students, as long as the subject matter is still relevant and fits the needs of the students, course books are a fine source of information and activities.
