I have felt that I have learned a very important lesson about teaching. It's that the teachers attitude has a major impact on the students. The teachers attitude affects student involvement. Also, being more involved with the students helps lessen, what could be at times, an intimidating environment.I think it's important to distinguish the different 'tactics' required to teach both speech and written word. You can't really use one learning plan for the other and expect it to work out. However, the same subject can be used for either as it is just a general topic that can elicit student's interest.
