Teaching Special Groups in ESL - Do's and Don'ts When Teaching Young Learners

There are some general Do's and Don'ts that need to be considered when teaching young learners. Watch this video to get more insight into teaching this special group of learners.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.

I enjoyed reading about teaching techniques. It's interesting to see that a lot of this has simply evolved naturally within me, throughout my years of teaching ESL. It's interesting to now see the associated labels. I look forward to what the following units have to offer me.I have learned the different part of speech and how to categorize them in a sentence.I have learned some teaching techniques on how to explain it to the students by watching the video, very well explained.I need to read and watch the video few more times for better understanding.Conditional and report speech is a very difficult topics to teach. As a teachers, we need to spend a lot of time to practice this matter. Also, stuying this unit, I have notice that the teaching techniques for this topics are very short. I would like to have more ideas about it.
