TEFL 120-hour Course - Unit 8

This video diary entry outlines Chantelle’s experience of studying unit 8 of her online TEFL course. Unit 8 is another tense unit, this time looking at the future tenses. These include the future simple, future continuous, future perfect, future perfect continuous and the ‘going to’ future. It also covers how the present simple and present continuous can be used to talk about the future. In this unit you will learn how the tenses are formed and used and what some of the most common errors students make.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.

Those video were great to see how a teacher is teaching their students, although i need to say the videos are quite old and the quality isnt that great. I did enjoyed it a lot and i think the first lesson the teacher was just rude and in the second one i would really have liked to go to his class. This unit is not to hard to understand. Types of phrasel Verbs was a bit difficult to understand the difference but I think I have it under control now after completing the task sheet and the test. Thr task sheet in this unit really helped me to understand better with all the examples I had to do.After going through this unit, I have become more aware of grammar and how we apply it in our day to day communication. This has given me a lot more confidence and understanding to be able to face up to the challenge of teaching children, adults and native or non native English language speakers.
