Course books can be a good thing if used wisely by the teacher. A good teacher should use the books for support, and to keep track of continuity and progression. However, the teacher should remain creative using other materials as well and using and adapting the book content to serve his students best.I thoroughly enjoyed this unit. I felt that I was learning a new language. Phonemic Symbols were very interesting. Now I am more conscious of the words I am uttering. We speak without thinking of the words. It made me realise how true it is that when we speak we rarely pronounce all the words as it is.
