Through this unit I was able to identify what materials would actually work best with me and for my students. There were two types of materials, authentic and created materials. Though both are beneficial, I feel as if I would like to try my hand at created materials because they can be mad much more specific and to execute a particular goal.Though I'm not artistically inclined, I wouldn't mind trying to provide my students with created materials such as flashcards, picture stories, role play cards, etc. Unit 14 also allowed me to see the pros and cons of course books and that as great as it is, it must not be depended on because issues can arise such as it may not fit the needs of the students, laziness, and boredom for the students among other things. I look forward to being able to partake in this process in the future.
