In learning about the four English tenses, I have learned that the English language has a lot more memorizing than I had ever thought. I have learned each of the present tense forms, including the present simple, present continuous, present perfect, and present perfect continuous. The most difficult thing for me will be teaching something that I never had to learn; something that is natural to me. Patience and understanding will be the keys in teaching English tenses to students. Not only these aspects, but also the activities of the activate stage will be crucial in constructive learning. At what point in the learning of the students are tenses taught? I am a little confused on WHEN to start teaching tenses; whether it be beginners, or intermediate. As for me, Spanish tenses were always taught later in the learning cycle. I really enjoyed the set-up and content of this unit, as it was easy to understand and follow, setting a good example on how to easily teach English grammar. Overall, I learned a lot about the present tense in English, and am excited to be able to practice teaching it.
