From this course I learned a lot of teaching methods which is very different from my school book. Before my english Grammar is not very good but now my Grammar skill is getting better and better. I am not very good at solving some issues in the classroom when I was teaching kids. For examples: varying student levels within the same class, difficulties with comprehending listening texts or large class sizes. After I’ve learned from this course. I think I can easily solve them now. Like finding different materials for a varying level class is difficult in some places. I prefer using the same materials, but give different tasks to the students. The tasks may be similar, but the work load will be different. I would also try to pair up the stronger students with the weak students. Sometimes the speed of the listening exercise might be a problem. I would rewind and repeat a sentence or paragraph for the students. The student may also not recognize the accent of the speaker during the listening exercise. This may require a few more play backs for the students. For large classes, group works is a good method. In large classes, it is hard for the teacher to give one-on-one attention to everybody during class. I would try to put the groups with varying levels of students. A class leader is also a very good idea. The leader can help the teacher with small tasks and help maintain some control in class.
