To be honest, I was a little bit nervous starting this course because I knew parts of english
grammar would come up; parts that I wasn’t too sure about. However, the way the information documents were presented and written made it simpler and easy to comprehend; therefore, it clarified any doubts I had. I have gained an understanding of english
grammar, albeit basic, but I have learnt more in these three weeks than in a long time. It is crazy to think that a native english
speaker didn’t confidently know how to form the conditional tense. Crazy as it may be it was true. However, the TEFL units made me understand english
grammar in an easy, uncomplicated way. Additionally, I have learnt about varying classroom techniques which will be very helpful and practical in the future. Although I’ve taught in academies before, I never did lesson plans. After doing the TEFL certificate I feel much more confident that I can make classroom activities more fun, prepared and thorough. In the future I plan to work in an english
academy and in a high school in Spain as an english
language assistant; therefore, the TEFL certificate will be extremely useful.
