The grammar units have been great; I didn’t know anywhere near as much grammar as I thought I probably would. The way that the course has been laid out I thought was very user friendly, and the feedback from my online tutor has been exceptional. I plan to take this mode of teaching which I have learnt through this course and put it into practice in September when I start an internship in Spain as an english Teacher’s Assistant in a high school. This placement is for 8 months and as I will be leaving on a pretty meager salary my goal is to pick up work part time work as a Tutor, which without this course I would not have felt comfortable in offering. As a native speaker of english, it’s surprising how little, if any, grammatical conjugations I actually knew. Before deciding to take a TEFL course, this came to my attention more and more when I started dating an Estonian girl who kept asking me questions about who english is conjugated. Having studied spanish for three years, I understood the idea behind it, but didn’t understand the grammar itself. Now having completed this course, I plan to not only be able to offer tutoring and eventually full blown classes in the english language, but also to assist the many friends that I have around the world, perfect their english on a day to day basis as I travel and hang out with them. After having studied the language in detail, I have a new found respect and admiration for the it which I seek to pass onto all those who I come into contact with who seek to obtain a more detailed understanding of english.
