I have learned that even an exercise in trying to describe something as simple as present tenses can be incredibly challenging when analyzing the nuances in the three major tense forms: past, present, and future. Moreover, it is increasingly more difficult to note the differences in how the structure changes when addressing a sentence as simple, perfect, continuous, or perfect continuous.
Looking at this through the lens of identifying the affirmative, negative, and question forms of the sentence gave me insight as to how to differentiate the four different aspects. I have never been so humbled by the fundamentals of my own native language.
