This unit focused on classroom management. There were sections in this unit on how a teacher should behave in the classroom, how the classroom should be set up, and how to utilize different types of activities such as group and individual work. I found that some of this chapter was a review of my college communication class. However, I began to learn new material as the unit progressed and became focused on teaching. One suggestion I found interesting is that student nationalities should be considered when setting up the classroom. As an American student, my classes have always been filled with a mixture of diversity. Therefore, it never occurred to me that nationality would play a role in determining how the classroom is arranged. While I feel that the information in this unit was useful, the majority of the material is common sense.
