This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit is about the different methods a teacher can use when teaching English to non-native speakers. While I was reading the unit I found myself thinking about how I learn best and which methodology I prefer to use in the classroom. I find that the silent way method mixed with the suggestopaedia works best when I am teaching my current class of kindergarten ESL students. I will often start off the lesson explaining the overall concept of the activity/language to be used and then put on music while the students have to work together to complete the given lesson. I find that that relying on only their fellow classmates for answering their questions improves the students English ability since they are not relying on me as a crutch. This unit was very interesting.
