This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
The unit covered the different tenses and structures used to talk about the future. This unit was complex and interesting because we talk about the future not only using future tenses, but also using the present simple, present continuous, and the 'going to' future. I feel that this is probably a very difficult area for students to master because there are so many small differences between the tenses. From my experience living in a non-English speaking country, errors in this area are common. Very often, sentences such as \"I work at 10am\" and \"I will be working at 10am\" are used to mean the same thing. I think it is important to encourage students to not become frustrated while working out the differences in these concepts. Even before they have a complete fluency in them, excellent communication is possible with a few follow up questions!
