This unit described troubleshooting in the classroom, such as how to handle potentially problematic situations. I learned that it is important to establish a rapport within the students and between the students and teacher in order to produce a successful learning environment. I will utilize many of the different warm up techniques in order to establish rapport. I have thought about what would be best to do to control a large class and was excited to learn the techniques outlined in this unit, such as choral repetition, and appointing group leaders. I had not previously thought of using those ideas until I learned of them here. I will also utilize the techniques such as role-play and using a tape recorder to help encourage reluctant students. I plan of implementing many of the skills I have learned in this unit.
