This has been the most interesting unit by far, as it demonstrates clear theory on how complex pronunciation can be. Meaning can be changed and altered through selectively stressing different words, and for native speakers, playing with these will often mean altering proper words using different sound joining. I rather enjoyed making basic sounds and taking special consideration to what my mouth and tongue were doing in order to appreciate the subtle differences between similar letters. The anatomy of the mouth/voice box was also an interesting tie in to the pronunciation of individual letters as well. Lastly reading the phonetic alphabet will take further practise to manage, however reading it is possible as long as I'm able to concentrate on what words I can make out, and fill in the blanks of what I cannot.
