I never really thought about the use of different text books in class, but remembering back to when I was studying languages I realised a lot of the text books were out of date and when using some things from those texts books in real life coursed problems. So its interesting it brings up this aspect. I know it will be hard to overcome but at least it has brought it to my attention.Unit 14 discussed the use of course books and lesson materials. It was helpful to understand the advantages and disadvantages of using course books as this is what my current employer uses. I now understand that they should not be used all of the time. They are a good source of information and activities. However, they will not necessarily meet the needs of my specific students.
