The unit gives the clear definition of parts of speech (nouns, adjectives, articles, verbs, adverbs, gerunds, pronouns, prepositions and conjunctions)paying special attention to their types, peculiarities and usage in speech. The most difficult cases are provided by numerous examples and comments. The unit helped me to arrange the knowledge about parts of speech.I can tell that reported speech will be a hard lesson to teach. The time expressions will be hard to explain to students who are trying to learn English in the first place. I think that the diagram is extremely useful and I will use it to reference in any class. I enjoy the teaching idea of split sentences as I think it would help students a lot with this lesson.
