This unit provides a brief outline of the different teaching methods that teachers can employ in their classes. More specifically, this unit provides an overview of the ESA teaching method, which is to engage, study and activate. I have learnt that correction is not necessary at all stages of teaching, and more times than not, teachers must mix and match different teaching methods to best serve the students that they have. Depending on the age and language proficiency of their students, they must choose or come up with the appropriate activity for their level in order to maximize their learning in class. The most important takeaway I had from this class is the difference between mistake and errors, and that teachers should encourage self and peer correction before teacher correction.
